Chugoku Kenpo and Pakkua (Bagua Zhang) form and extremely important part of the martial arts training in the Genbukan in South Africa. Why are Chinese martial arts being included in a Japanese system?
Because many Japanese martial arts have roots in Chinese systems, and even Takamatsu Sensei trained widely to fully understand their connections and benefits. Training in differing disciplines gives our students a broad understanding of Martial Arts and leads to them being more adaptable in their ability to deal with different types of opponents.
